Self-care is an important topic that most people do not spend enough time thinking about. Taking care of yourself can award us with several health benefits, including improving our immunity, increasing our positive thinking and mindset, and making us less susceptible to stress and other similar emotional health issues✨

Self-care should always come first, but don’t let this lead you to think that self-care is selfish. I think of self-care like the airplane mask warning. When emergencies happen, and the mask drops from the ceiling, you are supposed to help yourself first and then proceed to help others put on their masks.

The idea is that if you help others first, and fail, then there are two people out of commission. However, if you take the time for a bit of self-care first, then you will be okay and in a better position to help others more effectively.. Same with life, help/take care of yourself so you can help/take care of others💚

Allow yourself to enjoy each happy moment in your life. Take time to do what makes your soul happy. The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I’m not going to let myself pull me down anymore. Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.
